AKKA Technologies Group has for the 8th time organized the AKKA CHALLENGE, the group’s signature event.
The AKKA CHALLENGE, which launches young graduates on a career, is a high-profile event that again this year enjoyed great success.

Over 1,600 students enrolled and over 110 schools took part in the AKKA 2008 Challenge

Posted on the Web from 29 October 2007 to 31 January 2008, the contest saw the participation of more than 110 schools and of more than 1,600 students and young graduates of top-notch business and engineering schools and universities throughout Europe*, exceeding the participation rate seen at previous contests.

The AKKA CHALLENGE will bring together 150 young and budding engineers at the Serre Chevalier ski resort on 28, 29 and 30 March , in the presence of Luc Alphand, who has sponsored the event since the beginning. 100 staff, management executives and consultants will be on hand for 3 days to shepherd them and help them to discover the group : Recruiting and detecting young talent is one of AKKA Technologies top priorities

Major Participation through preferred relations with many higher-education institutions

This event is part of the group policy of pursuing preferred relationships with top-notch engineering schools and universities in Europe. At the same time as entertaining relationships with specific schools over years, the group has been signing up new partners each year in order to extend AKKA Technologies.name recognition.

This year , ESIGELEC, SUPELEC, ISEN, the Schools of Mining Engineers at Douai and Albi Carmaux), Ecoles Centrales throughout France, Politecnico di Torino (Italy), Leuwen’s Catholic University and Polytechnic (Belgium), HEIG-VD and EPFL (Switzerland) have signed up many participants.

Supporting the strong recruitment drive of AKKA Technologies

COFRAMI’s recent integration also made it possible to expand and bolster the network of partner schools specialized in IT and systems. COFRAMI enjoys a good reputation among them and each year recruits 30 to 40% of their young graduates.

For 2008, AKKA Technologies aims to recruit 1,500 staff and intends to continue partnering with higher education institutions in Europe over the long term. Aside from its signature event the AKKA CHALLENGE, the Group also helps students conduct technological projects as well as teaching courses in technology, always with a view to unearthing new talent ready to join the Group.
